Normalizing Self Pleasure and Ethical Porn
There is a misconception that pleasure should be outsourced; meaning we should rely on others for our pleasure. But the reality is, we are responsible for our own pleasure. The more aware we are about what we want, what we like, what we know about ourselves, and our bodies, the better equipped we are to advocate for that when engaging in partnered pleasure.
The problem with that reality is that there are way too many taboos for Black women surrounding self-pleasure. Practicing self pleasure gives Black women an opportunity to learn their body, and empowers them to advocate for what they like when with their partner(s).
